01Freshen up your skin
;Resize=(606,341))
During the show, one model stopped on the runway, opened a compact, and pressed the puff to her cheeks. It was the same quick touch-up many of us do at our desks before leaving work.
Skin across the show looked fresh and glowy, with a soft shine on the cheekbones and very little foundation. By the end of a workday, your skin has probably lost that freshness. The forehead and nose get oily, and the rest of the face looks dull.
First, blot the oily areas. Then press a compact over your forehead, nose and chin only, so the rest of your face still glows. Spray a face mist and give it a minute to dry. Tap a hydrating base onto any patches that need it. Finally, tap a cream highlighter onto the top of your cheekbones. Use a light hand so it looks like healthy skin.
02Try a violet eye
;Resize=(606,341))
Purple was the main colour of the show, and it showed up on the models' eyes too. In keeping with the minimal look, it stayed soft: a light lilac or violet on the lids, smudged gently under the lower lashes.
You can build this look over the day. In the morning, use your finger to put a light lavender shadow on your lids. At 5pm, add a deeper violet to the outer corners. Then use a small brush or cotton bud to smudge it along your lower lashes and then add a coat of mascara. This step alone covers most of your evening makeup.
The colour showed up on nails too, with glossy plum polish on the runway. A matching manicure is an easy way to carry the look further.
03Keep lips soft and shiny
;Resize=(606,341))
Since the eyes had colour, the lips on the runway were kept simple. Models wore sheer rosy nudes and soft pinks, some with a glossy finish. This balance keeps a coloured eye from looking too heavy.
If you've worn a tinted lip balm all day, add some clear or pink gloss to the centre of your lips. For an evening party makeup look, line your lips with a pencil close to your natural lip colour. Fill in with a pinky-brown lipstick and add gloss on top.
04Loosen your hair
;Resize=(606,341))
Some models wore their hair sleek and straight with a sharp centre parting, or pulled back tightly. Most had it open, with big, breezy waves and lots of volume at the roots. Your hair can go from the former to the latter over the course of a day. If you wear a neat parting or a low bun to work, take it down after your last meeting of the day. Spray dry shampoo or texturising spray at the roots. Then, twist sections of hair around your fingers or a large curling iron to make loose waves. Shake them out with your hands and don't brush.
You can also try a half-up style like the one on the runway. Pull one side back above your ear and pin it, and leave the rest loose. This shows off your earrings and keeps hair away from your face.
If your hair isn't working with you, wear a hat. Take a cue from the show's beanies and bucket hats.
05Change your earrings
;Resize=(606,341))
Earrings were the biggest accessory on the runway. Models wore long lime-green fringe earrings, chunky green studs and violet tassels. Keep a pair of bold earrings at your desk. Switching from small office studs to a statement pair changes your look straight away.
06Pack a reset kit
;Resize=(606,341))
Keep a small pouch in your work bag with blotting papers, a compact, a face mist, a hydrating base, a cream highlighter, a lavender and a violet eyeshadow, mascara, tinted gloss, dry shampoo, a few bobby pins and a pair of statement earrings. You can apply most of these with your fingers, so the whole routine takes about ten minutes.
