Disha has often spoken about her simple upbringing. Interestingly, she has held on to some of the beauty practices that are so quintessentially desi… like oiling the hair on a daily basis. The actress has confessed to using almond oil to pamper her tresses. Rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, almond oil is beneficial to make your hair stronger, keep split ends away and induce shine.
02. She NEVER skips the conditioner
Have you ever had those days when you skipped applying? Well, Disha hasn't. The actress admitted that she NEVER skips applying hair conditioner. She also revealed that she indulges in deep conditioning every single time she washes her hair.
This is actually pretty good advice since we often tend to skimp out on conditioner out of sheer laziness or because of the misconception that it’s not necessary. Shampoos work by deep cleaning your hair and can strip off its natural oils. That is why it’s necessary to use a conditioner to restore hydration every time you wash your hair!
03. She exercises daily
If there was ever a way to motivate yourself to workout on the daily, this will be it. Disha has often attributed her beauty to fitness. Her routine is versatile and includes pilates, dancing, swimming, weight training, kickboxing and yoga. She confessed to having improved her physical and mental well-being through her fitness.
Exercise can promote a strong hair growth cycle by increasing blood flow and circulation around the scalp, resulting in better hair growth.
04. Her diet is rich in proteins
According to Disha, diet affects the way your skin looks more than any skincare regime. She revealed that her plate likes lots of greens on her plate and snacks on fruits. She consumes a protein-rich diet. Her ideal breakfast consists of an egg toast or paneer or milk. She is a fan of brown rice and chicken, dal and almonds as snacks. All of these contributes to better hair health as protein (like keratin) is essential in maintaining good hair.
05. Hydration is key!
Apart from following a healthy diet and working out regularly, Disha maintains that hydration is key to her glowing skin. She confessed to looking for new ways to remind herself to drink more water as it flushes out the toxins. She insists on drinking lots of water to keep the hair hydrated and healthy.
