How to make a DIY honey cinnamon face mask:

Step 01: Mix together one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and two tablespoons of honey in a small bowl

Step 02: Add a few drops of coconut oil to the mixture

Step 03: Use your fingers to apply the mixture all over your face evenly

Step 04: Let the mask sit on your face for about 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.

Step 05: Cinnamon can be slightly irritating for some skin types. Therefore, apply a moisturiser with soothing ingredients such as the Ponds Super Light Gel Oil Free Moisturiser to soothe and calm the skin.

Benefits of honey cinnamon face mask:

  • Moisturises skin: Honey is a natural exfoliator which helps banish dull, dry skin and reveals new skin cells underneath. Its anti-bacterial properties deep-cleanses the skin and improve its moisture levels. It is an ideal face mask for all those with dry and flaky skin.
  • Fights signs of ageing: Cinnamon is an excellent anti-ageing agent. It contains compounds which boost blood circulation, nourish and plump the skin. Improved blood circulation helps fade away fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Exfoliating properties: Exfoliating twice or thrice a week helps slough away dead skin cells and reveal a healthy glow. Honey contains glycolic acid and several other types of organic acids that kill bacteria and eat away at dead cells, leaving your skin rejuvenated.
  • Treats acne: Both honey and cinnamon have anti-bacterial properties that kill acne-causing bacteria. Honey effectively treats swollen, red pimples, whereas, cinnamon is great for curing acne scars.
