Whatever your choice of workout, make sure your hair does not pay the price. With a good work out comes a good deal of perspiration, and if not taken care of, can cause your hair a lot of damage. Here we list out simple things to keep in mind for different hair types and textures that may save you unnecessary hair issues!

Dry shampoo might come to rescue after a workout, but did you know that spraying some before you start may help absorb some of the sweat and keep your scalp feeling drier.

Your fragile hair needs a lot of patience and care before and after a workout. Make sure you keep your hair styled in braids or buns during a workout, so the chances of it getting tangled are minimum. Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle it after a workout.

When you have thick hair

You may find that you feel like washing your hair more frequently after workouts. But do not over wash your hair. Use a mild shampoo and alternatively you could just co-wash your thick hair.

When you have coloured hair, make sure you do not use dry shampoo frequently. Use a mild hair cleanser that is meant for colour treated hair.
