If there are two beauty rules we have mentioned and repeated time and again it has to be – wear sunscreen daily and do not wash your hair every day. Simply following these two rules can bring about a major change in the way your skin and hair looks.
While we have always stressed enough on skipping daily shampooing, those with an active lifestyle find it difficult to do so. Therefore, we have come up with a few tips to keep your hair clean without washing it. Here’s what you should do.
Dry shampoo

Dry shampoos may have been popularised as a product for lazy girls, but in reality, it is a blessing for all of us. Dry shampoo can also be used by someone who has a naturally greasy scalp, an active lifestyle or a person who just can’t function without washing their hair daily. Hold the bottle at least six inches away from your hair and spray. But, don’t forget to give your hair a break from dry shampoo for at least a day or two.
DIY alternative

Worried about putting dry shampoo on your hair on a regular basis? Here’s a DIY alternative that works equally well. Sprinkle some baby powder on your hands and then run your fingers through your hair while focusing on the roots because that’s where most oil gets collected. It will instantly soak up the grease and make your hair look fresh instantly. Sans chemicals, this DIY alternative won’t irritate the skin.
Shower cap

Wear a shower cap when you don’t want to wash your hair. This will not only keep your hair dry but it will also prevent heat and humidity from entering, which is usually responsible for making hair look greasy as well as frizzy.
Hair accessories

As women, we know several tricks and hacks to hide our flaws or cover them up. When it comes to greasy scalp or skipping hair wash, using hair accessories strategically can help a lot. A sparkly or plain headband can instantly hide greasy hair and make you look cute. Another trick is to twist the front section of your hair and secure it with cute pins to conceal a greasy scalp.
