Let’s accept it - beach waves look equally gorgeous on every hair length! And with the recent crop of beach hair looks we’ve been spotting on the celebrities, one thing we can vouch for is that it looks even better on lobs and bobs; the shorter, the chicer!

If you were under the impression that you can’t pull off the messy curls on your short hair (considering the tiny strands don’t really fit in for two wraps on your curling iron), we are here to prove you wrong…and help you nail it, of course.

Here is a step-by-step tutorial that will help you master textured waves on your short mane.

How to:

Step 01: Wash your hair and while it is damp, spritz some texturising hairspray to add some texture. You can use Toni & Guy Hair Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray and run your fingers through your hair to distribute it evenly.

Step 02: Next, brush your hair and create a side parting. Get your flat iron out; it is easier to work with on short hair and will give you gorgeous beach waves in minutes. Taking one small section at a time, curl your hair by rolling your flat iron once outwards and once inwards.

Step 03: Keep curling your hair in opposite directions until you reach the ends. Work in small sections and hold the flat iron for about five to seven seconds before sliding it down.

Step 04: Once you are done, run your fingers through your hair to separate the waves and get the tousled, beachy look.

Step 05: Finish with a mist of Toni & Guy Hair Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray to hold the waves and add some volume.
