Apart from its potent scent, sandalwood oil is also a relaxant and creates a calming effect when massaged into the scalp. Blue chamomile soothes your scalp due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Oh, and let’s not forget the carrier oil, for which you can opt for jojoba oil which will help nourish your tresses.

How to:

Take 10 drops of lavender oil and 10 drops of sandalwood oil in a jar and add in 5 drops of blue chamomile oil. Now add some carrier oil to it and mix it gently.

Rub this oil into your hair before washing it for smooth tresses.

Orange and lemon peels in a cold-pressed oil

Orange and lemon peels in a cold-pressed oil

It’s a well-known fact that dandruff leads to dry hair, so why not get rid of the cause for dry hair and get luscious locks? The orange and lemon peels in this oil are jam-packed with citrus which keeps the dandruff at bay. Go for a cold-pressed oil as a carrier oil since it contains more nutrients.

How to:

Sundry some lemon and orange peels for 2 days for a citrus peel powder. Take these tried peels and grind them to a powder. Heat your carrier oil in a pan and add 1 tablespoon of the peel powder to it. Strain the oil and store it in an air-tight container. When you want to use the oil, take 3 tablespoons of it and rub it into your hair. Let it stay for 20-25 minutes and then wash as usual.

Do this twice a week for quick results.
