Our chaotic lifestyle and busy schedule often leaves little or no time to shower some TLC on our precious mane. However, once in a while we’re blessed with long weekends, giving us the perfect opportunity to treat our locks to a luxurious spa session. If you are too lazy to book an appointment or step out in the summer heat, we’ve got a 5 step at home hair spa treatment that will give you beautiful hair.
Step 1: Massage
The first step of any hair treatment is to massage your scalp. This softens your hair, promotes blood circulation and relaxes your mind. Regular scalp massages also boosts hair growth. Warm up a few teaspoons of coconut oil or olive oil and massage your head with it for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: Steam
To ensure the oil reaches deep into the scalp and nourishes the hair it is essential to wrap a warm towel around your head. Dip a towel in warm water, squeeze out excess water and cover your hair with it for 5-10 minutes. Read a book or watch a makeup tutorial while you relax.
Step 3: Wash
Now wash your hair with a mild shampoo such as the Dove Daily Shine Shampoo. Infused with moisturising milk, it makes your hair soft, smooth and shiny after every wash. Use lukewarm water to wash your hair as hot water can damage the hair follicles.
Step 4: Condition

Step 5: Mask

Since you’re at home and have the time to make a hair mask, throw in some honey, ripe banana, coconut oil and two eggs and mix to form a thick hair mask. Leave the mask on for about 20 minutes and then rinse off.
