When it comes to skincare, it’s important to follow a regimen that’ll help tackle all of your skin concerns. After all, the hectic city life does put your skin through a lot (read: exposure to pollution and dirt, poor diet, constant use of electronics and so on). All of this eventually takes a toll, causing skin damage and premature ageing. That’s why a night-time skincare routine is super essential if you want to keep your skin protected and nourished.
We got Aanam Chashmawala of What When Wear to share her night-time skincare routine with us.
P.S. Watch out for her tips for soft, glowing skin!
STEP 1: Makeup removal
Sleeping with your makeup on is the worst thing you can do to your skin. So make sure to thoroughly remove your makeup. A set of makeup wipes is all you need to help you get your makeup off in a jiffy. Also the great thing about using wipes is that you can control the pressure with your hands, especially around the sensitive areas on your face.
STEP 2: Cleansing
Cleansing is very important, but often overlooked. Even though you’ve removed your makeup with wipes, you still need to give it a thorough cleanse to get rid of unwanted particles. Plus, this will refresh your face instantaneously.
STEP 3: Toning
Toner helps make sure your pores are squeaky clean and helps tighten them over a period of time. Not a lot of people use toner on a regular basis, but once you start using it, you will see a visible difference in the way your skin looks and feels. Just moisten the cotton pad with toner and pat it gently over your face and neck.
STEP 4: Night serum
A serum helps moisture the skin overnight and make sure the hydration goes layers deep into your skin. Once you apply it, you will notice how soft your skin becomes once it gets absorbed in.
STEP 5: Night cream
A night cream is the final step. This product seals in the serum, helping it work on your skin through the night. It also boosts collagen and improves blood circulation
Think Aanam Chashmawala’s night-time skincare routine is simple enough? Give it a shot and we’re sure it will protect your skin and make it look healthy and nourished over time.
