I Woke Up Like This! 2-ingredient Overnight Face Mask For Brighter Skin

Let’s admit it! Your skin undergoes a lot of trauma every single day. From environmental factors such as heat and pollution to stress and everyday habits such as over-scrubbing and rinsing with hot water, all of these cause damage to your skin. The result? Your skin turns a few shades darker and before you know it, your skin and complexion have taken a heavy beating.
While following a regular cleansing-toning-moisturising routine is imperative for nourished and hydrated skin, you also need to give your skin some extra TLC to prevent it from losing its natural colour. If you want brighter skin overnight, then here’s a two-ingredient DIY recipe that will give you clear, glowing skin in the morning. All you need is one tomato and two tablespoons of raw milk.
Step 1:
Take one small ripe tomato and cut into two halves.
Step 2:
Now, take one of the tomato pieces and dip it in a bowl of raw milk.
Step 3:
Rub the slice all over your face gently in small circular motions.
Step 4:
Let it dry for a few minutes and then go over and apply a second layer and follow it up with a third layer.
Step 5:
Leave it on overnight and rinse with cold water in the morning.
Benefits:
You’ll be surprised to know that tomato is one of the best ingredients to treat dark spots and pigmentation on your face. From diminishing fine lines to shrinking large pores, tomatoes can do wonders for your skin. It contains a powerful antioxidant called ‘lycopene’ which protects your skin against the free radical damage, which is the reason behind wrinkles and age spots. And that’s not all! Tomatoes also contain salicylic acid which cleanses and exfoliates dead skin cells and brightens up your complexion.
Raw milk on the other hand, is rich in vitamin B, calcium, alpha hydroxy acid and other potent antioxidants that not only help nourish skin from deep within but also keep your skin moisturised all through the day. Milk is beneficial to most skin types. If you have acne-prone skin, applying milk helps exfoliate your skin and gradually treats acne. If you have oily skin, milk helps draw out excess sebum from within the pores and minimises their appearance.
