How to Fight Pigmentations the Right Way

The list of our skin problems can seem pretty endless. From skin tanning to stubborn pigmentation spots, there seems to be no end to our skin’s plight in today’s time.

Being comfortable with your flaws is great, but if there’s something that you can do to overcome them and move towards perfection, we can think of no reason why you should not.

We often resort to various BB creams and concealers to hide our pigmentation marks, but what if you could completely get rid of them instead? Here are 3 OTT ways to fight skin pigmentations using uber effective home remedies.

#1 Lemon

#3 Papaya

Lemons can work wonders on pigmented areas, dark spots, and blemishes. Not only does a lemon help fade away pigmentation marks, but it also replenishes the damaged skin cells, giving your skin an even tone. The abundance of citric acid and vitamin C in lemons also protects your skin from any potential damage caused by the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Take some lemon juice on a cotton pad and apply it over the affected areas. Rinse it off with cold water after about 5 minutes.

#2 Oatmeal And Yoghurt Mask

#3 Papaya

Yoghurt and oatmeal can be pretty handy in your fight against pigmentation marks. The lactic acid present in yoghurt helps your skin shed off the dead skin cells that cause pigmentations. Oatmeal, on the other hand, works brilliantly as a gentle exfoliator. Make yourself a smooth mask, taking oatmeal and yoghurt in a 1:1 ratio. Apply it evenly onto your skin and let it stay on for about 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

#3 Papaya

#3 Papaya

If you’re looking for quick and effective results, a papaya is just the thing for you. This amazing fruit is an excellent skin exfoliator that helps remove the dead skin cells and reduces pigmentation. The enzymes present in papaya promote cell growth and nourish your skin as well.

Take some papaya extract, mix a few drops of honey with it and apply the mixture over your skin. Wait for about 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off. Do this every alternate day for more effective results.
