- Cuticle pusher
- Nail filer
- Nail buffer
Step 01: Start with thoroughly cleaning your nails to get rid of nail polish residue, oil or other impurities that could be sitting on your nails
Step 02: Next, take a small amount of the cuticle softening cream or oil and apply it to each of your cuticles. Allow it to sit for some time to works its magic. This should take about five to seven minutes
Step 03: While the cuticle softener does its job, you can use this time to file your nails. Remember to be super gentle while doing so
Step 04: After about five minutes or so, touch and check your cuticles; they should feel soft by now. Once they are soft enough, take the cuticle pusher and VERY gently push them back
Step 05: Next, take the nail buffer and rub it gently all over your nails. Remember to use a back and forth motion over your cuticle and soon you will see tiny balls of skin at the base of your nails. This is when you’ll know the cuticles have been dissolved and your nails are ready to be painted.
