Benefits of underarm detoxification

  • Removes sticky build-up

Antiperspirants and deodorants often leave a sticky residue in the underarm area, which is hard to get rid of using soap and water. An underarm detox will help remove the chemicals and impurities and allow your skin to breathe.

  • Eliminates odour

Those who sweat excessively often complain about constant armpit odour that doesn’t seem to go away even after cleansing and using deodorants. An armpit detox may help get rid of this problem by eliminating bacteria and unclogging the pores.

How to do an underarm detox

Underarm detox is quite easy and requires a few basic ingredients that you may already have lying around in your kitchen.

You will need:

- 1 tablespoon bentonite clay

- 1 tablespoon ACV

- 1-2 tablespoons of water

Step 01: Mix all the ingredients well in a glass bowl to form a paste.

Step 02: Wash both armpits with soap and water; dry using a clean cloth.

Step 03: Apply the paste evenly on your underarms and leave the mixture on for 3-4 minutes. (You can leave the mixture on longer once you do this a couple of time; this will ensure you have no bad reaction from the ingredients).

Step 04: Wash off with warm water.

Apart from using this detoxifying mask, it is also essential to use deodorants that do not contain harsh ingredients like alcohol. Switch to the Dove Original Moisturising Cream Deodorant, an alcohol-free formula that won’t cause underarm itching or irritation.
