Spas are a relaxing and relieving treatment for your body and repair and rejuvenate your skin. Different oils and fragrances used during a spa session help relax both your mind and body. It is an experience we all love however; they are expensive and high-maintenance. Massage with essential oils
Massage your body with a few drops of essential oils mixed with carrier oils. These oils help improve the blood circulation in your body and give it a toned look. It also nourishes your skin with vitamins and minerals that help to revive your skin tissues. Oils such as lavender, jojoba and grape seed oil have a relaxing and uplifting effect on your mind.
Take a hot shower
After a good massage take a stress relieving hot shower, it eases anxiety by increasing your oxytocin levels. You can add some bath salts or bombs to the water to magnify the results of your spa experience. You can also use a moisturising and fragrance rich body wash to get similar results. Include fragrances such as jasmine and black orchids in your bath routine that work as an antidepressant and reduces signs of aging respectively.
Exfoliate your skin with a body scrub to get rid of all the dead skin cells. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and clean. Use some extra time and indulge in a DIY manicure or pedicure starting with filing your nails and polishing them with a brush.
After a relaxing shower pat dry your body with a clean and soft towel. Apply a gentle moisturiser or body lotion to seal all the moisture and nourishment back into your skin. A moisturizer soothes your skin and adds a healthy glow. Wear your favourite cotton PJs after you finishing applying lotion on your body as it helps to keep your skin hydrated for a longer duration.
