More often than not, when we talk about our skincare routine, we are mostly just talking about the skin on our face. We never bother to stop and think about the other parts of our body that need an equal amount of care and nurturing.
Our hands, for example, do so much for us throughout the day and yet, apart from indulging in a manicure sesh once a month, we don’t really do much for them. But that ends RN! Cause we’re going to show you how to concoct a really easy DIY hand balm using natural ingredients. The best part? This recipe is quick to prepare and lasts for a really long time.
You will need:
- 1/4th cup coconut oil
- 1 cup beeswax
- 1 tablespoon shea butter
- 1 ½ tablespoon honey
- Essential oil of your choice
Step 01: Take all the ingredients (except honey) in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Ensure that all the oil and waxes have completely melted
Step 02: Add honey to this mixture while continuously stirring to avoid lumps
Step 03: Add 8-10 drops of your favourite essential oil to this balm and pour this mixture in a jar of your choice
Step 04: Allow the mixture to cool down and harden before using it Aaaand your super easy hand balm is ready to use!
