Did you know that the shelf life of your skincare products depends a lot on how you store them? That’s not all, though. The efficacy of these skincare products is also determined based on the place and condition in which they’re stored. Believe it or not, most beauty products shouldn’t be stored on your bathroom beauty shelf even though it may seem like the most obvious place. Why? Well, the humidity in the bathroom can lead to fungal and bacterial growth. This can cause several problems such irritation, infection and even acne.
While some products offer better results when stored in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, some do a lot better when stored in the refrigerator. Nope, no kidding! Want to find out what those products are? Read on…
01. Eye creams

Dealing with puffy eyes? Storing your eye creams and under eye masks in the refrigerator can help a lot. Cold eye care products work to constrict blood vessels and therefore helps revive tired and puffy eyes. Storing your eye cream in the fridge and applying it at night before bed also helps to reduce the appearance of under eye bags in the morning.
02. Sheet masks

Another great product that works wonders when refrigerated is a sheet mask. This is because sheet masks work like a charm to revive dull and tired looking skin, and by popping it in the fridge and using them chilled after a long tiring will help wake up, refresh and brighten your skin in an instant. Perfect for when you have a date or party to attend after a long, tiring day at work.
03. Moisturiser

If you’re using a water-based moisturiser, you should pop them right in the fridge for amazing results. It not only helps calm and soothe tired skin, but also hydrates better, especially when used on freshly cleansed, slightly damp skin.
But here’s an expert tip we love – instead of applying a thin layer of moisturiser, apply a slightly thicker one, leave it on for a few minutes and then wipe off the excess with a clean tissue. This will help moisturise your skin like nothing else. https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/beautiful-indian-woman-using-gua-sha
04. Face rollers

If you are using a face massaging tool in your beauty routine such a Gua-sha stone or jade roller, then it is highly recommended to store it in the fridge. Refrigerating these precious stones helps increase their naturally cooling properties, giving you that beautiful and relaxing spa-like experience from the comfort of your home.
05. Face mist

If you are using a soothing, glow-inducing face mist, then pop it in the refrigerator for a few hours before spritizing it on your face for an instantly soothing and calming experience. Using chilled face mists definitely feels a lot more refreshing, but the ingredients in most face mists also work better to revive your skin and make it appear super youthful.
