Let’s talk armpit care! A lot of women tend to neglect their underarms and end up with darkened armpits and BO. Not using deodorants and antiperspirants is out of question, given the sweat and body odour that never seems to leave you alone, especially on a hot and humid day. What exactly is an armpit detox?

Just like you detox your skin with a face mask or drink detox concoctions to flush toxins out from your body, an armpit detox is the process of cleaning toxins from your underarms. It helps remove chemical build-up by draining the lymphatic nodes and unclogs pores. It also removes cancer-causing toxins and reduces the risk of cancer. Plus, the anti-bacterial ingredients in the armpit detox mask helps eliminate bacteria and thus, there is less sweat and body odour accumulated in your underarms. Now that you know what armpit detoxification is, make your own detox mask to get clean and flawless armpits.

How to do it

How to do armpit detox

Prepare an armpit detox mask using apple cider vinegar, coconut oil and bentonite clay. This mask is anti-bacterial, detoxifying and moisturising as well. Dilute one tablespoon of unfiltered ACV in half a tablespoon of water and mix it with one tablespoon of coconut oil and bentonite clay each. Mix well and apply this mask on your armpits. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. Follow up with a moisturiser.
