Homemade face packs for every skin type to get the Holi Rang right off

Playing Holi is so much fun but what comes next? You walk around with stubborn stains on your face that just won’t go away for days. It takes hours of scrubbing and a good few days to get the colours off completely and the worst thing is that you may end up harming your skin and make your skin conditions worse in the process. To avoid that, here we have three DIY face packs for oily, dry and combination skin that will help you remove Holi stains from your skin while also giving it the nourishment it needs. Read on to know what they are…

For oily skin

For combination skin

Oily skin is prone to acne and needless to say, Holi colours can trigger breakouts post Holi. Pamper your skin with a face pack that treats acne and gets the colours off as well. Grind dried up orange peel and red lentils (masoor dal) into powder and add lemon juice and rose water to it to make a fine paste. Rub the mixture on your face gently and wash off with water.

For dry skin

Holi colours can make your skin even drier and cause irritation, redness and rashes. You need a pack that removes the stains while also provide moisture to your skin. Prepare a moisturising face pack by mashing 1 ripe banana and adding milk and honey in equal proportion to it. Apply on face and let it dry. Rinse with cold water and moisturise.

For combination skin

If you deal with an oily T-zone and dry skin on the rest of face, a face pack that targets both issues will do the job for you. While aloe vera is a natural moisturiser and good for oily skin, lemon has cleansing properties that gets every last bit of colour off from face. Blend aloe vera extract with some lemon juice to make a smooth paste. Apply on face and neck and wash after 10-15 minutes.
