There’s a reason that a lot of your skincare products are infused with fruit extracts. And that reason is they are full of beauty benefits and vitamins that can help turn your 'meh' skin into looking dewy and spotless. Not just that, but there’s one for every skin type and concern. If you’ve been missing out on these skin-loving superfoods, then it is time to raid the fruits section of your nearest supermarket!

Berries for oily skin

Packed with vitamin C and antioxidants, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries can help zap the excess oil and control sebum production. They also help cleanse your skin of dirt, impurities and leave your skin radiant as ever. Blend some berries of your choice and add a few drops of lemon juice and apply evenly on your skin. Wash it off after 20 minutes and moisturise. Repeat weekly for oil-free, clearer skin.

Banana for dry skin

Banana is a natural moisturiser and if you’re struggling with extremely dry and flaky skin, you can trust this sweet treat to hydrate your skin. A rich source of potassium and vitamin A, banana helps retain moisture in your skin and makes it smooth and soft. Mash one ripe banana and add some honey to it. Mix and apply on your face. Wash once it dries and apply a hydrating moisturiser. Do this once a week for best results.

Tomato for dull skin

Tomato has brightening properties and can prevent and reduce ageing signs like dark spots, pigmentation, wrinkles, thus giving you younger-looking and even-toned skin. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins B6, C, K, E, and A, tomatoes can help you achieve brighter and clearer complexion. Cut a tomato and massage it on your face for 10 minutes or apply freshly extracted juice on your skin and wash after 20 minutes for fresh and glowing skin.
