Thanks to the hot and humid Indian summers, the thought of wearing a full coverage foundation, especially during the day, is impossible. Apart from feeling heavy on the skin, there’s also the chance of it melting down in the middle of the day, and that’s something we definitely don’t want.

But irrespective of the weather, stepping out of your house without a base makeup almost seems like a sin to beauty junkies like us, right? This is exactly where the lightweight and sheer formula of a tinted moisturiser comes in handy. Not only do these babies provide just enough coverage, but they are also enriched with amazing skincare benefits to keep your skin soft, supple and healthy throughout the hot summer months.

Don’t have a tinted moisturiser on hand? Well, don’t worry because you can easily DIY a tinted moisturiser at home using two basic products from your beauty shelf. Yes, it’s really that simple! Scroll down to find out how…

How to make a tinted moisturiser

Step 01: Start by choosing a lightweight moisturiser like the Pond’s Light Moisturiser Non-Oily Fresh Feel With Vitamin E + Glycerine. The lightweight formula of this moisturiser is extremely non-greasy and works really well for most skin types.

Step 02: Add a few drops of a lightweight foundation like the Lakmé Invisible Finish SPF 8 Foundation to the moisturiser. Mix the products on the back of your hand.

Step 03: Dot your entire face and neck with this mixture and blend it in using a damp makeup sponge or even your fingers for even-toned, glowing skin minus the heaviness of your foundation.

So simple, isn’t it?
