While the weather sure is out to get your skin, you don’t have to surrender just yet. Here are some easy-peasy DIY homemade face masks to help you save your skin this summer.

 

Cucumber and sugar mask

Cucumber is packed to the brim with Vitamin C and caffeic acid—both of which have umpteen skin benefits. Cucumber is great for the skin as it has hydrating and nourishing properties that help soothe skin inflammation, balance oil production and reduce puffiness.

How to do it:
Mash together cucumbers and some sugar and refrigerate. Apply it onto your face and let it dry. Wash off in 15 minutes for the hydrated and glowing skin.

 

Lemon and honey mask

Both lemon and honey are super ingredients for your skin.

Honey is naturally antibacterial and is full of antioxidants. This makes it a great remedy for acne and dryness. Lemon, on the other hand is rich in Vitamin C and citric acid which helps brighten the skin and fight dark spots and thin lines.

It is no surprise then that the two ingredients together are a wonderful remedy for summer skin woes like oily greasy skin, tanning and dark spots.

How to do it:
Mix equal parts of lemon and honey and an egg white. Let it dry for 15 mins. Rinse off to reveal supple and soft skin.

 

Strawberry mask

Love Strawberries? Well, here is a reason to love them even more! Strawberries are rich in Vitamin C which makes them an excellent ingredient to fight oily skin. Strawberries are also acidic in nature which helps them fight acne and blemishes. They are also known to nourish and revitalise skin by removing the excess sebum.

How to do it:
Mash strawberries in a bowl and add to the blend a tablespoon of yogurt, a few drops of lemon juice and honey. Apply on your face for 10 to 15 minutes and let it dry. Rinse off with water.
