The skin on your feet is tougher than the rest of your body, but that does not mean it needs no care. Exposure to harsh weather conditions, heels and tight shoes can cause the skin to look dry, dark and flaky. Instead of being embarrassed and hiding your feet in socks, show them some TLC.
Sometimes applying lotions and moisturisers is not enough. When the skin on your feet is excessively dry, it means that it needs deeper nourishment, which can only be achieved through a moisturising foot mask. Here’s a simple DIY moisturising foot mask that will help nurse your feet back to health.
Super moisturising overnight foot mask
You will need:
4 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons cocoa butter
3 Vitamin E capsules
2 tablespoons of honey
Step 1: Pour oil into a glass bowl and add the remaining ingredients as well.
Step 2: Mix all the ingredients well with a spoon.
Step 3: Soak your feet in a tub of warm water and soap for about 20 minutes.
Step 4: Pat your feet dry with a soft towel.
Step 5: Massage the mixture on each foot for some time and then put on a pair of socks before going to bed.
Step 6: Take off the socks the next morning and wash your feet with warm water to remove the mask.
Tip: Use this mask every night if you have dry and cracked skin on your feet until it is healed.
