Do you suffer from recurring pimples in the exact same spot? Do acne treatments seem to provide only temporary relief? If the answer to the above questions is yes, then the problem could be more deep rooted than you think.
There are several reasons why you could be breaking out in the same spot time and again. Diet, stress, poor hygiene, hormones, or some issue with an internal organ are touted to be the major reasons for the same! This method of using the location of your acne to choose the treatment and prevention is called face mapping.

Acne on each area of your face reflects a different reason and we take you behind a facial spot map, to help you deal with the concern...
Forehead

If you frequently breakout across your forehead, then the reason could be a diet full of fats. It is advisable to maintain a clean diet with an intake of antioxidant rich foods such as green tea.
Cheeks

Your cheeks are directly connected to your respiratory area, and hence smoking could be one of the major reasons you are having breakouts on your cheeks.
Another reason for break outs on your cheek, could be the bacteria found on your phone and makeup brushes. Acne on one side of your face is usually due to dirty phones, pillowcases, and other habits like touching your face. Therefore, it is a great idea to regularly clean the items that come in constant contact with your facial skin.
Nose

Acne on nose is frequently a reason of poor blood circulation or a heart condition! To reduce breakouts in this area, it is advisable to reduce your intake of meat and spicy food.
Include good fats such as nuts, avocados, fish, or flaxseed in your diet. Due to the many dilated pores in this area, ensure that your makeup products are non-comedogenic and haven’t expired.
Chin and jawline

Frequently occurring acne on chin and jawline is linked to hormonal imbalance, especially in women. The acne in this area might flare up at particular times and may completely subside at other times. While you can’t do much about your hormones, you can try and prevent these hormonal changes by exercising and eating clean.
Ears

Spots close to your ear are directly associated with your kidneys and hence acne in this region could mean dehydration. It would be a good idea to cut down on the intake of caffeine and alcohol. Also drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and deal with acne around your ears.
