When it comes to my skin, I prefer to go with the tried-and-tested. For me, that means yoga. Of course, the same routine can and will get boring so I’ve asked my yoga teacher to lead me through a more physically demanding set of asanas over the last few months. While it might not have given me that so called ‘glow’ that yogis have, it has helped my skin stay healthy. Which is beneficial, because I’ve been blessed with good skin (thanks, Ma!) For days when I feel like it needs extra attention, the Lakmé Absolute Skin Gloss Overnight Mask is my one go-to, and so far, it’s proved its worth.

I remember being at the Lakmé Absolute Salon to get a quick makeover but what I got instead, was tips on how to take care of my skin and what I was doing wrong. To make sure I don’t go pink with embarrassment this time around, I’ve just been drinking close to 2 litres of water a day ( I remember being told my skin was super dry and dehydrated) and eating a bowl of fruits and nuts every. On days when I think my skin needs to be rescued, I use the Lakmé Absolute Skin Gloss Gel Crème, which I’ve discovered has some seriously super hydrating powers and thus, far my usually sensitive skin hasn’t shown any kind of resistance.

I love food way too much to go on any kind of crash diet just for a span of five days. Actually, I don’t think anything is worth giving up food for. That being said, I’ve learned over the years that while intense physical activity can give some people workout acne, it works wonders for my skin. Which is why I now signed up for CrossFit classes four times a week instead of twice, and oh, how I love that healthy pink flush it gives my skin! Immediately after a bath, I use a generous amount of the Lakmé Absolute Skin Gloss Reflection Serum that gives my skin the nourishment and hydration it’s so in need of after a hot shower.
