It’s officially the season of pale, dry skin and chapped lips, which means we can say goodbye to a number of skincare essentials that we really needed in the warm, humid summer. Winter skincare calls for a whole new skincare regimen. However, how different are these summer and winter skincare essetials? Could we use some of the same products in winter as the ones we do in summer? The answer to this is, yes. There are some products we use in warmer weather that are actually essential in lower temperatures as well. 1. Sunscreen

The sun’s UV rays are as powerful in the winter months as they are in the summer. Just because it’s way cooler outside, it doesn’t mean that the sun has disappeared—it’s harmful UV rays are very much present, and are doing an unspeakable amount of damage to our skin. It’s hence really important that we remember to put on sunscreen before stepping outside (20 minutes before, to be precise)—even if it’s for an hour or an entire day. So, before you neglect sunscreen, remember that it’s the number one reason behind premature ageing, and blemished skin.
