Coconut oil and green tea pack
Mix a teaspoon of warm coconut oil with green tea leaves (don’t toss that green tea bag into the trash can) until it forms a semi-solid paste. Apply this mixture directly under the eyes and leave it on for about 10 minutes. You can also do this every day before you go to bed—since the ingredients are completely natural, you don’t have to worry about any side effects.
While coconut oil keeps your under eye area (which is prone to dryness) hydrated, green tea’s antioxidants and tannins help lighten the darkness. The result? Bright under eyes!
Parsley and mint leaves
This under eye pack will give you the best of both worlds—brightening and cooling! What else does one need? Turn to your kitchen for this recipe. Crush about 4-6 mint leaves and a bunch of parsley leaves. Now, mix them and keep crushing them until they’re mixed completely. You can add 2-3 drops of water/coconut oil/green tea for a pack-like consistency. Apply this underneath your eyes and leave it for about 10 minutes.
Parsley contains vitamin C, chlorophyll and vitamin k—all of which help with skin discolouration, puffiness and dullness. Mint leaves, on the other hand, will give your eyes a soothing, cool effect. You can also store this in the fridge and use it within 3 days max!
Cucumber, vitamin E oil and aloe vera gel
Grate half a cucumber and add about 5-6 drops of vitamin E oil to it. Then, add one teaspoon of freshly extracted aloe vera gel to it and begin mixing until you reach the desired consistency. Apply the under eye pack under your eyes and let it sit for 10 minutes.
To recap the benefits of cucumber for under eyes—they help reduce swelling and contain vitamin C which targets the puffiness and dullness directly! Vitamin E oil helps keep your under eyes hydrated and reduce the free radicals that can cause wrinkles and aloe vera gel helps stimulate collagen under your eye area.
