140 applicants, 3 rounds and 6 lucky girls
Fashion Week means real business. About 140 girls queued up to compete for this hugely awaited event. Toned gams, great postures and perfect 10 bodies—these girls were ambitious, charming and exuded confidence galore. Each one was given a number tag and were called in bunches to line up after which they walked the ramp for the judges.

A panel of renowned faces
When it’s an event as prestigious as the Lakmé Fashion Week, the panel that judges the models who get their entry into the world of fashion, ought to be just as powerful and notable. So here we had top model and ex-Miss India Sarah Jane Dias, fashion designer Neeta Lulla, fashion choreographer Anu Ahuja, Vice President and Head, Fashion, IMG, Reliance—Saket Dhankar and Purnima Lamba—Head of Innovation, Lakmé.

The promising finalists
It was a competition that comprised 3 levels, shortlisting models with every round that went by. Groovy music, fierce faces and confident walks; the girls gave their all as they sashayed down the ramp to make their dreams come true. After a lengthy discussion exchanged between all the judges, the panel came to a conclusion and chose 6 gorgeous girls who showed promise – Ashanti Singh (Germany), Shreya Chaudhry (Mumbai), Madhu Sneha (Kolkata), Alice Rosario (Hyderabad) and Jasmeet Johal (Canada). As the girls stood next to one another looking ecstatic about their accomplishment, the panel warned them about the big week coming up and asked them to gear up and prepare for the much–awaited Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015!
