A fashion blogger is constantly under pressure to pull out one stunning look after the other. Aayushi Bangur from Style Drive confesses that it took a bit of learning to get comfortable in her own skin.
When I attended my very first season of Lakmé Fashion Week over three years ago, I was convinced that making an impression was the only deciding factor for my outfits so that I could make it to all the Street Style sections of every magazine or website! Little did I realise that everyone else attending fashion week probably had the same motto, which really made this a lost cause.
Three years on, I dress only for myself. Style and comfort are my key prerogatives! This year, I chose a very clean, minimalistic and fuss-free outfit. My Ridhi Mehra crop top was the key piece that I planned my entire look around. A simple pair of formal high-waist trousers went perfectly with it.
Accessorising is my favourite part of styling! I chose a pair of statement earrings, which complemented the embroidery on the crop top.
For my bag, I chose a small sling bag in leopard print, which could store my essentials and help me be hands-free to take photos through the day!
I completed the look with a pop of colour in the form of bright orange pumps. Style is so personal and subjective, which makes pleasing everyone an unattainable goal. So really, if you're heading to fashion week next time, don a look that you love, replace your highest heels with a comfier pair and don’t forget to accessorise like a queen.
