Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie
Peanut butter is loaded with fat that’s healthy for the heart. And cocoa powder, as opposed to chocolate, is great as it contains the phytonutrients without the saturated fat. So win win!
1 cup almond milk
3 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp cocoa powder
½ tsp cinnamon
Blend all the ingredients in a blender until creamy.
Strawberry Banana Blueberry Smoothie
Loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, fiber and potassium—you couldn’t deny an all-fruit concoction is always the best solution. This smoothie also makes for a great post-workout drink with all the healthy fat it contains.
⅛ cup milk
½ cup yogurt
1 whole banana
½ cup strawberries
½ cup blueberries
Blend the milk, banana and yogurt in a blender until smooth. Add the strawberries, blueberries and a pinch of cinnamon and blend again.
Strawberry Avocado Smoothie
One of the most nutrient-dense foods, with the vitamins and minerals they contain, avocados are one of the healthiest ways to gain weight. They’re also great for the skin, being rich in Vitamin A, D and C.
¼ cup milk
¾ cup yogurt
1 whole banana
1½ cup strawberries
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Blend the milk and yogurt in a blender. Add the banana and avocado and blend again. Lastly, add the strawberries and blend until smooth.
