We all lead really busy lives. Managing careers while simultaneously juggling social and family responsibilities can take quite a toll on our body. We barely get a chance to step back and analyze what we are eating, how much we are resting or how the daily stress is affecting us. Our bodies get deprived of nutrients, healthy food is replaced by junk and a good balanced diet is out the window. It is very essential that we continuously remove toxins from our body and allow it to recuperate from the everyday grind to maintain our health and glowing skin. So here are 10 ways you can detox your body at home naturally…
10 tips to detox at home 500x300 piccontent

Make the switch to organic food
To begin with, try sticking to organic food as much as possible. Pesticide infested food, processed food and GMO fed livestock are causes of various diseases.  So have organic products at least when you plan on consuming the peel or outside of a fruit or a vegetable.

Go pthalate free
Work towards being Phthalate free by choosing personal care/ household products free of synthetic fragrances, which often include phthalates. Phthalates mess with the hormones of your body and can contribute to risks like diabetes and reproductive diseases.

Lemon water
Try fasting with lemon water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup. Give your digestive system a much-needed break and cleanse your body out.

Go green
Increase consumption of fresh juices and green smoothies or try doing a diet (not the bottled supermarket kind) for an intense cleanse, it will help add nutrients to your body while flushing out the toxins.

Get your beauty sleep! Sleep deprivation can make you feel exhausted and affect your immune system. 8 hours of sleep should do you good. Just listen to your body. It will tell you when you need to rest.

Sweat out your toxins naturally by exercising regularly. 15 minutes a day can do the trick. Perspiration is good for your body as it helps release the toxins normally trapped within.

Add more fiber to your diet. All toxins and excessive waste in the digestive tract will clear out, once your food intake has much more fiber.

Go sugar free
Try a sugar free diet. This has rewarding results if incorporated into your daily life but take baby steps towards it. Remove artificial sugar from your diet gradually.

Green tea
Increase the intake of green tea. Green tea offers natural antioxidants and a dash of caffeine to give your energy a quick boost. Try and consume at least 2 cups a day.

A quick and easy way to add nutrients while cleaning your body is to drink a shot of wheatgrass juice on waking up in the morning. Packed with nutrients, a shot of wheatgrass is akin to taking in one kilogram of vegetables.

Stay healthy, stay beautiful!
