Prepare a list
This sounds tedious, but a checklist will help you keep track of what’s what. Purchase a pretty diary and some coloured pens (with glitter even!) and list out your activities priority-wise. Use highlighters or post-it tabs to personalise your notes and get organised. Once you have a clear sense of all the work you need to put in, you’ll start getting things done in a timely manner without the stress. All set for D-Day? Check!
Exercise will help you stay in shape and release endorphins (feel-good chemicals) that make you happy. There are detailed scientific explanations for all this, but you needn’t concern yourself with all that! Just remember, exercise à look good à feel good à stay happy!
…And then pamper yourself!
You’re getting married! You finally have the perfect excuse to book yourself in for the entire bridal package at your favourite spa and spend hours relaxing where knots are kneaded out of your muscles, antioxidant concoctions are prepared for your sipping pleasure and exotic pastes are applied to make your skin glow. Bask, revel, enjoy!
Make a budget
Rather than stressing over each new expense that presents itself, plan your budget beforehand. This way, you can keep track of what you’ve already spent and how much more you can afford. Keeping track of the numbers will help you plan your expenses seamlessly and effectively get the maximum bang for your buck!
Plan a mad-hatter trip or night out with your closest girls! It can be anything from bungee-jumping to disco-dancing – whatever helps you let loose and indulge in some honest-to-goodness fun, fun, fun!
Pull out the stopper, have yourself a whopper!
Being a control freak doesn’t really get you anywhere. It is important to let things be once in a while, and realise that everything will not fall apart if you were to look away. So every time you see that crazy look in your eyes, step back, put on your favourite music, slip on your comfiest pyjamas, pop open a bottle of wine and dance yourself into a blissful slumber.
