3 Mira Rajput Kapoor-approved Facial Tools You Need To Try RN
Written by Urvi ShahFeb 21, 2022
There's something you and I share in common with Mira Rajput Kapoor. Ah. Yes, our love for Shahid Kapoor. Okay, no, we're deviating. Before we start gushing over Jab We Met once again, there's another. Our unending passion for skincare.
Mira is one of the savviest skincare enthusiasts in the industry, and her Instagram testifies to that. Her feed is flooded with hacks and tips relating to beauty and fashion. And, today, we're bringing to you a list of five facial tools she has worked into her skincare regimen. And just why you need to get your hands on them ASAP.
A peculiar-looking handheld tool derived from quartz or other gemstones, Gua Sha can do wonders for your skin. It can combat cystic acne, fade acne scars, enable lymphatic drainage, diminish wrinkles and fine lines, detoxify the skin, and relieve tension in your muscles. Mira swears by this tool. Always use one in conjunction with a serum to create a smooth surface for the tool to glide on and prevent tugging. You can use the Lakme 9 to 5 Vitamin C+ Facial Serum for the same. Enriched with Kakadu plum—which contains 100x more vitamin C than oranges—this serum is hydrating and radiance-inducing. Just pour 2-3 drops of serum on your face. Massage it gently with your fingertips. Then, go over it with your Gua Sha.
02. A Kansa wand
This one's not as heard of as facial rollers or Gua Sha. The Kansa wand, an ayurvedic tool that’s been around for 5,000 years (predating rollers and gua sha), is another handheld tool that invigorates the skin, accentuates the firmness of your face, drains toxins in the lymph nodes, tones muscles, and gets rid of puffiness around the eyes. Made of wood and Kansa metal, the wand balances the pH level of your skin as well, which is important to combat signs of ageing. Pair it up with a facial serum and you’re well on your way to bright, radiant skin.
03. An applicator brush
Mira applies all of her face-packs with an applicator to ensure effective application. This is a skincare staple for her. Brushes are ideal for spa-like feels. And you don't have to deal with product getting onto your hands too. Plus, it’s hygienic.
