01. Remove every trace of makeup
Not taking your makeup off before going to bed can invite a host of skin problems like acne, inflammation, itching, etc.. To get rid of every last trace of makeup, wash your face twice aka double cleanse — a Korean skincare ritual we swear by. First, start by using an oil-based cleanser to get rid of your makeup and surface dirt (oil is more effective at breaking down makeup). Then, follow it up with a gentle face wash to get rid of the remaining residue.

When your skin goes into repair mode at night, using skincare products with potent ingredients can give your skin a firmer, smoother texture and make pores appear smaller. It is recommended to tie your hair into a bun or braid at night, this will prevent frizz as well as unwanted knots and tangles that can waste your time in the morning.
