Quirky hairstyles dominated the ramp on Day 2 of Lakmé Fashion Week 2020

Even though Lakmé Fashion Week 2020 has gone digital this time around, there has been no compromise on fashion and beauty looks. On day 2 of Lakmé Fashion Week 2020 Season Fluid, we saw some incredibly quirky hairstyles that are expected to be huge in the coming season.

The unifying theme across all the shows was clean, slicked-back hairstyles that aimed to leave no scope for flyaways (something that’s really important if you are trying to avoid touching your face). But even so, each style was extremely unique and innovative, leaving us totally awestruck.

To give your curiosity some rest, scroll down to see the most badass hair looks that are a total treat for the eyes.

1. Retro finger waves

Seen on models for the Amit Aggarwal and Kaveri show, the retro finger wave hairstyle looked really chic and sophisticated. Slick hair was pulled back in a ponytail, which was tied in place with a cotton thread. We also spotted pearl hairpins that gave this hairdo a modern, festive spin.

2. Wet hair look

Day 02 of Lakmé Fashion Week 2020 confirmed that the wet hair look is definitely here to stay for yet another season. Although this hairstyle isn’t for everyone, you should certainly give it a try if your personal style is bold and edgy. The extreme side-part prevented this hairstyle from looking totally flat and added a bit of volume.

3. Edgy barrettes

Hair accessories are making a huge comeback this season and the theme seems to be — the bigger the better. For the Pero show, we spotted models wearing a mix of large and small barrette clips that were studded with diamonds and had bows. So feminine, yet edgy — colour us impressed.

Another trend spotted at the Pero show featured braided half-up half downs that were woven with beautiful cotton ribbons in solid and quirky patterns. The hairstyle had a lovely mid-partition that further added to the summery, carefree appeal of the clothes that were being showcased.
