- 1) Use a mild cleanser
- 2) Include a toner
- 3) Exfoliate without fail
- 4) Apply a lightweight moisturiser
- 5) Wear sunscreen without fail
1) Use a mild cleanser

Since teenage skin usually has an overactive oil gland, it tends to attract a lot more dirt and other impurities. This ends up clogging your pores and causing acne. Thus, it’s really important to keep your skin squeaky clean using a gentle face wash. This helps clear your pores and prevents excess oil production; thereby, keeping your skin clear and glowing.

2) Include a toner

Cleansing disrupts the pH levels of your skin, making it feel extremely dry. It also makes your skin produce more oil to compensate for the lack of moisture. A simple way to regulate this issue is to use an alcohol-free toner, as it helps balance these pH levels and regulates sebum production to keep your skin clear and acne-free.

3) Exfoliate without fail

Simply washing your face twice a day is not enough to get rid of all the dirt and impurities that have settled deep into your pores. To clean these deep-set impurities, it is important to exfoliate your skin two to three times a week. But remember to use a mild scrub and be extremely gentle when exfoliating to prevent skin damage.

4) Apply a lightweight moisturiser

Moisturising is a key step in your skincare routine, irrespective of your skin type. Therefore, even if you have oily skin, you should never skip applying a lightweight moisturiser. A gel or water-based moisturiser helps to protect your skin against environmental aggressors and keeps your skin soft and supple.

5) Wear sunscreen without fail

Wearing sunscreen every single day without fail will go a long way in keeping your skin looking healthy and glowy for years to come. Sunscreen not only prevents skin tanning but also protects the skin against skin issues such as skin cancer, premature aging and dark spots.
