Sayani Gupta’s Brand New Pixie Is The Stuff Short Hair Dreams Are Made Of
Written by Sumona BoseAug 04, 2020
The quarantine is making celebrities do all kinds of things! While baking loaves of banana bread is the mildest form of creative release for them, it is the hair department that has seen maximum transformation during this period. From pastel hair transformationsto chopping off gorgeous long lengths, fashion girls have been experimenting with their hair and how. Joining those ranks is our very own Sayani Gupta, whose brand new pixie cut will make you book a salon appointment asap. Check it out…
Sayani admitted to her Insta followers in May that her hair had achieved lovely length in quarantine (the longest they have been in years). Usually spotting a gorgeous lob or voluminous medium-length hair, her decision to go with a cropped pixie is making us want to take the bold route too. After all, our hair has been growing out unbothered for months, which makes this the right time to try a new haircut that will both, get rid of split ends, and be like a mini-makeover to celebrate successful quarantining!
Having said that, there’s no denying the fact that the pixie cut is gaining momentum as the ultimate post-lockdown hair trend everyone and their neighbor will be trying this year. Celebrity hairstylist Hiral Bhatia suggests getting rid of the length and adding layers to your hair. “You can opt for a mid-back length or go pixie. Layers will accentuate your natural hair texture and are easy to maintain,” she says. Hiral also suggests applying a good pomade and scrunching your hair up for a modern editorial vibe. “ Very Tokyo from Money Heist,” she says.
We can totally see ourselves rocking this edgy look as well. This, and other post-quarantining haircut trends that are cropping up as we speak. Check them out here and take your pick!
