Styling your long hair in a hairstyle that doesn’t cause headache is a task. Sometimes, even simple hairstyles like a topknot or a high ponytail can feel like a burden. Enter: the twisted headband updo. This pretty, princess-esque hairstyle looks straight out a fairytale.
All that this elegant hairstyle requires is three minutes of your time and a headband. Want to learn how to create this fancy hairdo? Follow the steps below.
How to :
Step 01: Like most hairstyles for long hair, this one too works best on second- or third-day hair. But if you’ve just washed your hair, all you have to do is spray some dry shampoo before you begin. Spritz the TIGI Bed Head Oh Bee Hive Matte Dry Shampoo to add texture and hold to your hair
Step 02: After brushing your hair, place a headband on your head: at least two inches away from your hairline
Step 03: Begin at the front. Take 1 to 2-inch sections of hair, twist it and wrap it over and around the headband, working your way towards the back of your head
Step 04: Once you reach the back of your head, start from the opposite side until all sections are twisted and wrapped around the headband.
Step 05: If there are any loose ends hanging, tuck them well. Use bobby pins to secure stray or loose sections
Step 06: Gently tug at the twists on both sides to loosen them a little and ta-da! your stylish hairstyle is ready to be flaunted.
