Those bumpy, grimy black spots on your nose can be annoying AF! But not being able to get rid of those blackheads is even worse. If you’ve been exfoliating your face sore with face scrubs, stop now! Exfoliating is great, but it isn’t enough to pull out the dirt embedded in your pores. If you’re serious about getting the gunk out, a blackhead removal strip is what you need. And no, they’re not as painful as they look in YouTube videos. In fact, we’re about to throw a DIY alternative your way that’s quicker and much gentler.
Before we tell you how to make your own pore strip at home, here are a few things you need to know.
- Do not use the strip more than twice a week as it can be quite harsh and damage healthy skin cells.
- Do not EVER squeeze dirt out, as this will only stretch the skin and make your pores appear bigger.
- To get the best results, gently scrub your face before using the strip to bring the gunk to the surface. The pore strip will then easily pull it all out.

You will need:
- Egg white
- Tissues cut in small square shape
- Face mask brush
Step 1: Whisk the white of one egg until it is frothy.
Step 2: Using the face mask brush, apply a thin layer over the nose.
Step 3: While it is still wet, place the small strip of tissue over it and press down so the egg white is absorbed.
Step 4: Now add another layer of egg white mixture and follow it up with tissue.
Step 5: Allow it to stay for 20 to 30 minutes to completely dry off.
Step 6: Peel off gently and notice how clear the skin on your nose looks!
