Healthy, voluminous and strong hair is every girl’s dream. But to turn this dream into reality requires effort. From choosing the right hair care products to certain lifestyle tweaks, keeping your hair healthy and strong is a continuous effort.
But despite all your hair care efforts, you could still be guilty of making certain errors, which could be preventing you from having gorgeous strands. Following are certain hair care lessons that every girl should know before it’s too late.
- 01. Never brush wet hair
- 02. Avoid using heat tools every day
- 03. Don’t wear really tight hairstyles
- 04. Trim your hair regularly
- 05. Be mindful about what you eat
01. Never brush wet hair

If you do this, you need to stop RN! Since wet hair is extremely fragile, combing your hair in this condition could damage the follicles leading to serious breakage and hair loss. In case you need to untangle your hair while it is still wet, always apply a detangling serum and then use a wide-toothed comb for this purpose to minimise damage.
02. Avoid using heat tools every day

All of us want our hair to look salon styled every day. But styling your hair every day using heat tools can cause serious damage to the health of your mane. Heat tends to dehydrate your hair shaft and makes your hair extremely dry and brittle.
03. Don’t wear really tight hairstyles

Who does not like wearing different types of hairstyles every day? But if you have a habit of tying your hair in a really tight braid, bun or ponytail, then please stop doing that. Tight hairstyles put a lot of stress on your hair shaft and sometimes destroy them completely. This not only leads to breakage and hair fall but also ends up creating havoc with your hair growth cycle.
04. Trim your hair regularly

This is one hair styling lesson we usually don’t pay much attention too, especially if we are trying to grow our hair long. But if you want your hair to grow healthy and strong, it is really important to get a haircut every six to eight weeks. This will prevent split ends and breakage, restrict hair fall and promote hair growth.
05. Be mindful about what you eat

Eating healthy is not just great for your overall body, but also has a direct impact on the look and feel of your hair. Include more green leafy vegetables, nuts and fruits in your diet for healthy-looking hair.
