I’m a big fan of a fancy blow-out. I’ve seen celebrities, models and even influencers sport bouncy tresses and I’ve always wanted to achieve that with my own hair, but I’ve never been able to do it. Of course I could go to a salon, but who has time for that?
Well, if you’re in the same shoes, worry not, ladies. I got celebrity hairstylist Sanky Evrus to show you the right way to blowdry your hair at home without having to spend a penny at the salon.
There are 3 things to keep in mind before starting the blowdry:
- Texture & Quality of your hair
- Blow Dryer Temperature
Step 1: Start by shampooing & conditioning your hair. Then use a heat protecting spray to protect the hair from any damage caused due to the blowdryer.
Step 2: Create a rectangular section on the crown of the head, from the hairline to the centre of the head.
Step 3: Next create small sections all over the head to make blowdrying easier and the blowout better.
Step 4: Now open one section and apply a volumising lotion for that added volume.
Step 5: Use a blowdrying bristle brush and start blow drying the hair for a frizz-free look.
Step 6: While blowdrying, direct the nozzle towards the roots and start blowdrying the section upside down.
Repeat the process for two to three times and start locking the entire hair chunk into the brush.
Step 7: Once the entire hair chunk is blow dried, secure the hair with a velcro roller and pin it with a setting clip. This will help the look stay for a longer time.
Step 8: Repeat the same process throughout the hair.
Step 9: Once everything is done, wait for five to 10 minutes for the hair to cool down. Cooling the hair will lock the style and maintain the blowout.
Step 10: Loosen up the curls and apply a smoothing lotion. Brush through the hair gently.
Step 11: To set this look, use a hairspray and voila!
So guys, these are the stepson follow for that perfect blowdry. It will require a little bit of practice, but you’ll surely get it right with time. No more salon visits when you can achieve the same look at home!
