Ever wanted to curl your hair, but didn’t have a curling iron? That was me too until I discovered what a versatile hairstyling tool a hair straightener can be. I still remember contemplating buying a curling tool, when my friend suggested a good quality hair straightener instead. Turns out, you can create all sorts of waves and curls--from beach waves to voluminous curls—with your regular flat iron.

Don’t be surprised! If you don’t have a dedicated curling iron, your hair straightener can be used to curl your hair and I’m going to show you how to do just that.

Step 1: Start by dividing your hair in two equal parts.

Step 2: Take a small section of hair and place the straightener close to the roots. Make sure you don’t go to close or you’ll end up burning your scalp.

Step 3: Then just wrap the hair around and twist the straightener twice at a 180 degree angle.

Step 4: Begin to gently pull the straightener down the length of your hair.

Step 5: Repeat the same process all over the hair.

Step 6: Once you've curled the entire length of the section, twist the curl around your finger to keep the hold.

Step 7: Finish off by applying a hairspray to set the curls in place

So, there you go. Follow these easy steps and you’ll be able to master the art of curling your hair with a hair straightener.
