Bad odour is a major turn-off, and I’m pretty sure you’ll agree. But get this; people often care about body odour but forget about stinky hair. Your hair could smell bad for a number of reasons. Maybe you have an excessively oily scalp or you work out or smoke (yes, that’s one of the reasons too) or you simply put off wash day longer than you should. The bottom line is that you should always smell gooood, from head to toe.
Whatever the reason is, we have solutions, and quick ones at that. We know it isn’t always possible to go out with freshly shampooed, clean hair, so here are three ways to make your hair smell nice and fresh all day without actually washing it with a sweet-smelling shampoo.
1. Use a hair mist
A hair mist not only hydrates your locks and fights frizz, but also adds a sweet smell to your mane. You can DIY a hair mist using coconut oil, aloe vera and rose water; it does the job with just one quick spritz! Use the mist before stepping out of the house or use it on-the-go to leave a trail of scent wherever you go.
2. Spritz some perfume on your hair brush
We know what you are thinking. Perfume on a hair brush? Really? Yes, really. It is a quick way to keep your hair smelling amazing especially when you don’t feel like using a ton of hair products. Simply spray some of your perfume on your hair brush and comb your hair. Don’t worry, it won’t harm your tresses; it’s totally safe.
3. Swear by dry shampoo
Hair that tends to get oily the next day after wash starts to smell weird and doesn’t feel fresh. If you have an oily scalp, you know what we are talking about. To keep your hair smelling fresh and clean, spray some dry shampoo and work it into your scalp when your hair gets oily. Dry shampoo absorbs the excess oil and sweat and leaves your hair smelling great until you wash it next.
