Weddings are a hard time; between deciding what to wear, the venue, the food and a ton of other things, hair often tends to take a backseat leading to some hurried (bad) hair decisions. Here is our quick guide to helping all you brides-to-be figure out how to wear your hair on your big day…

Before you begin…

Our favourite TLC recommendation for all brides-to-be? The Sunsilk Natural Recharge Shampoo and Conditioner Range that feeds your hair all the right nutrients. Enriched with ginseng plant root extracts, it makes your hair stronger and leaves it looking healthy as ever—just what your need.

For shoulder length hair

Short-haired brides, keep it fuss-free with soft waves. To do this start by taking the hair on one side, pulling it back and tucking it behind your ear with dainty accessories. For the other side, use heat, the Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray, and curlers, let your hair sit in light curls.

For medium length hair

Choose the semi-dressy French braid, a Dutch braid or a halo braid, all of which keep the hair off your face making them the perfect choice for your sangeet or mehendi. For your bigger functions try a French braid bun, a fishtail flower braid or the popular waterfall braid.

For long hair

For your pheras where your head is covered and hair pulled back, try the ballerina bun. For your reception, you can opt for a classy chignon or if you want your hair open you can go for a half-updo with twisties from the front and hair left open or in a bun at the back..
