Why you should be baking your hair
If we took a vote of the girls who loved to experiment with their tresses, I’m sure the answer would be a resounding positive. You know it’s true! Whether it is an easy hairstyle trend on the internet or the latest hairstyles of the celebrities, there are so many styles, cuts and colours to play around with when it comes to your hair.

However, it is during the process of hairstyling that you are making a crucial mistake. When you plug in your heat styling tools, be it the curling tongs or flat iron; the temperature setting is often forgotten to be adjusted. Using the same overheated tool, you proceed with your hairdo and end up zapping our strands in the bargain. Sometimes you even forget to protect your locks with the right heat protectant products, which further breaks down the hair. While the resulting hair may look styled to perfection; inside the cuticle, it is damaged.

This is called microwaving, a term used when the temperature of the styling tool product is wrong as well as when the right protectant hasn’t been used for the hair. Microwaving one’s hair is one of the most common blunders made during the styling process as it leaves the locks dry and burnt. Just bake your hair instead! So what is hair baking, you ask? Hair baking is when one’s strands are spritzed with the right products prior to styling, the tools are set to the right temperature and enough time is spent on setting the hairstyle.

Start your next hairstyle by spraying it with the Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist. Not only does it create a moisture screen from the heat but it also protects the hair against breakage. Next, make sure your styling tool is set to an adequate temperature which won’t over-heat your hair. During the process, make sure to hold the tool in position for a few seconds before moving onto the next motion as this makes the hair retain the styling better. Baking your hair not only shields it from damage but also allows even heat distribution. Before you know it, you’ll be flaunting gorgeous hair that is baked to perfection!
