Just like all good things, monsoon too comes with a catch. While the weather will make you feel all romantic, your hair might disagree and start misbehaving!

If you are someone who suffers from frizzy hair every monsoon, here is how you can tame your tresses to behave well, so that you can enjoy the rains.

Pamper your tresses with a hair mask

Banana hair mask

A nourishing homemade hair mask can help you strengthen, repair and most importantly smoothen your dry and frizzy hair. We suggest you go for the banana and honey hair pack.
Bananas are packed to the brim with vitamins and proteins that boost keratin production, thus enriching and nourishing the hair. Honey, on the other hand is a natural emollient which makes it a natural conditioner that smoothens and softens your hair and cuts down the frizz.

Rinse with beer

Once you’ve shampooed your hair with a trusted shampoo, give it a rinse with beer and then wash it off with water. Beer contains proteins that help cut down the frizz and leave your hair shiny and nourished.

Hot oil therapy

You will be surprised with what a generous massage with olive oil can do for frizzy hair. Just heat a few spoonfuls of olive oil and massage it into your roots. Then, wrap your hair in a damp towel and let it sit for a few minutes. Wash it off in a couple of hours.

Avoid the towel rub

While wiping your hair, swap your towel for a soft old-t-shirt instead. The soft fabric will minimise friction and thus help control the frizz.

Avoid heat styling

Avoid heat styling

Heat can cause your hair cuticles to swell up, so make sure you either avoid heat styling completely or bring the temperature down for minimal frizz.
