Dove’s New Hair Mask Is A Saviour For Damaged Tresses

When it comes to hair damage, the sooner you get to fixing it, the better! Damaged hair can get worse by the day and before you know it, you’ll be going in for ‘more than just a trim’ at the salon. To salvage your damaged tresses, it’s necessary to follow a good hair wash routine and also indulge in a weekly masking sesh to deeply nourish your strands.
We do love a good hair mask and the good people over at Dove came out with a brand new one just in time for our own hair mask upgrade.
The formula focuses on one key aspect of hair damage repair — keratin! Yes, keratin is responsible for maintaining the bonds in your hair and keeping it strong, a loss of which leads to damaged and brittle tresses. The mask works in a two-way fashion, meaning on one hand it repairs existing damaged hair fibres to make them smoother and more manageable. On the other, it gives your hair another fighting chance against future damage by strengthening the strands from within.
Retailing at ₹525 for a 300ml tub, the formula contains all the frizz-fighting and protecting goodness of sunflower seed oil and hydrolyzed wheat protein. While the product claims to increase the damage bearing capacity of your hair by 10 times, you will yourself have to be the judge of that. All you need to do is apply the mask from the mid-lengths to the tips of your hair, leave for 3-5 minutes and wash off. If your hair is extremely dry, you can keep the mask on for longer or use it twice a week. Just make sure to apply the mask to clean hair, always; it is a treatment, not a cleanser after all.
Psst… the mask is suitable for heat-treated, coloured or any form of chemically treated hair as well!
