Every hair type comes with its own set of issues. Today, we are focusing on the biggest problem, every girl with thin hair face, flat, limp-looking hair! When you have thin hair, they usually tend to fall flat on your head and end up looking not-so-cute. And no matter how hard you try, you can never seem to get them to look voluminous. But that’s about to change. Being your beauty BFFs, we’re going to share not one but seven volume-enhancing secrets every girl with thin hair should know. Excited? Read on…
01. Switch to volumising shampoo and conditioner
First things first, it’s time to switch your regular shampoo and conditioner to a volumising one. Our go-to is the Love Beauty & Planet Natural Coconut Water & Mimosa Volume Shampoo. Formulated with natural coconut water, ethically sourced Moroccan mimosa flowers and coconut oil, this shampoo hydrates your hair and adds oodles of volume to make your hair look fuller. Follow this up with the Love Beauty & Planet Natural Coconut Water & Mimosa Volume Conditioner. With no dyes, silicones or parabens in its formula, this conditioner nourishes and moisturises your hair and makes them bouncy and shiny. What we love the most is the refreshing scent of mimosa flowers that lingers in our hair long after. So good!
02. Blow-dry your hair upside down
To make your hair look voluminous, instead of blow-drying your hair the usual way, tweak your method a little. Bend forward and flip your hair to the front, and blow-dry it upside down. This teases the roots of your hair, causing them to lift from the scalp and making your hair look super voluminous.
03. Use dry shampoo on the roots
Dry shampoos come in super handy to refresh greasy hair, but did you know that they can also be used to add volume to your tresses? Yep, really. Take the Dove Fresh & Floral Dry Shampoo and spray it onto the roots 8-12 inches away. Gently massage your scalp with your fingertips and brush your hair to spread the product evenly. This will absorb all the excess oil from your scalp, add texture and make your hair look voluminous.
04. Try the double ponytail hack

Tired of flaunting a limp and flat ponytail? This double ponytail hack should be right up your alley. All you have to do is divide your hair into two sections. Tie the top section, and then tie the bottom half. The first ponytail will fall over the second one and camouflage it, creating the illusion of a fuller ponytail. Easy-peasy!
05. Change your parting

When you regularly wear your thin hair in a certain way, it tends to make your hair look flat. So, change your hair parting. Sweep your hair to either side and make a deep side parting to make your hair look fuller. Make sure you switch sides regularly to fake fuller hair.
06. Get a volumising haircut
The easiest way to make your hair look effortlessly voluminous is to get a haircut. We suggest adding layers to your hair. Layers add tons of volume and bounce to thin and limp hair. Here are some great volume-boosting hairstyles for thin hair that you can try out.
07. Add highlights

A little play of colours can also be a great way to add volume to your hair. Adding subtle highlights or going for a balayage with colours like toffee, brown, or caramel can make your hair look voluminous. These shades go beautifully and naturally with Indian hair tones, and clever colour placements can give an illusion of fuller hair.
