If there’s one accessory that has stood the test of time, then it has to be the humble scarf. Drape it around your neck, tie your hair with it, knot it on your bag, or wear it as a top or a belt, there are countless ways to show-off this classic accessory.

If you are bored of your usual hairstyles, here is an easy way to give them an upgrade with a scarf.

Top knot

Scarves are a fun way to spruce up a regular top knot. On the one hand, they give major vacation vibes, on the other, you can just as easily wear this hairstyle to work and parties too. We love how casual yet chic this hairstyle looks by simply adding a scarf.

Step 01: Start by spraying a bit of Toni&Guy Casual : Sea Salt Texturising Spray to your hair. This will help give your hair more hold and texture.

Step 02: Next, gather your hair into a high ponytail with your fingers.

Step 03: Pass the elastic band over the ponytail once, twist the band and pull your hair halfway through it. Leave the ends of the ponytail loose.

Step 04: Hold the top knot up and tie the scarf around its base to secure it.

Full head wrap

This hairstyle is the perfect way to breathe a little life into a plain outfit. If you are having a particularly bad hair day, this hairstyle really helps and makes you look extremely stylish and well put together! Win-win!

Step 01: For people with short hair, simply pin up all your hair to ensure it does not fall out of the scarf. If you have long hair, tie your hair in a bun at the back.

Step 02: Fold the scarf in a triangle and hold it on your head in a way that the ends of the scarf are on either side of your head, and the pointed end of the scarf falls over your head, in front of your face.

Step 03: Overlap the held sides of the scarf, twist them around each other, and tie them into a knot at the front.

Step 04: Lift the pointed end of the scarf over the knot and tuck it in.

Scarfed braid

A scarf is the easiest way to add more volume to your braid. If you are someone who thinks that braids are boring, then weave a cute printed scarf through your braid and see how it transforms it into a super chic 'do!

Step 01: Start by running your hands through your hair to create some volume. Divide your hair into three sections.

Step 02: Next, wrap the scarf around the middle section once and weave the three sections into a braid.

Step 03: Secure the end of your braid with an elastic band.
