But there is one particular bun that never goes out of style – the slicked-back low bun. This particular hairstyle looks so gorgeous, we can’t even! From red carpet events to shaadis, we have seen our B-town ladies sport this gorgeous hairstyle on a number of occasions.
If you have medium to long hair, then this low bun hairstyle is just apt for the upcoming party season. And the best part? It is extremely easy to recreate. Don’t believe us? Read on for a super simple tutorial on how to create the perfect low bun in five simple steps.
Step 01: To start with this hairstyle, ensure that your hair is completely dry. If you have thin or fine hair, you may want to add a bit of height to prevent the front from looking flat. To do this, gently back-comb your hair in the front. Keep the ends of your hair looking sleek and frizz-free by applying an anti-frizz serum to the lengths of your hair.
Step 02: Next, create a clean centre part using a comb.
Step 03: Brush your hair out to get rid of any bumps and frizziness. Secure your hair in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck and then secure it with a hair tie.
Step 04: Tuck both sides of your hair behind your ears and then start braiding the ponytail into the traditional three-strand braid. Secure it with a clear elastic.
Note: For a bigger bun, pull the braid apart a little until you achieve the desired size you want.
Step 05: Wrap this braid around the base of your ponytail and then use bobby pins to secure it against your head. Add a little shine spray to tame flyaways and further add to the slicked-back look you were looking to recreate.
