Classic and plain ponytails are perfect to get your hair away from your face before you step on the treadmill or while doing household chores. However, when you have to step out and yet stay loyal to your go-to hairstyle, the ponytail, you need to pump up the style a little.
Ponytails are the most versatile hairstyles and yet some people just stick to the boring slicked back version. To help you change all that and take your hair game a notch higher, we are about to tell you how to ace the knotted ponytail. It may look complicated but all it takes is five minutes, no styling tools required!
Step 1: Part your hair in the centre to get two equal sections.
Step 2: Flip one section over the other in a crisscross way so that you end up holding the left section in your right hand and right section in your left.
Step 3: Now loop one section of hair through the hole so as to tie the knot. Pull each side tight to secure this ponytail.
Step 4: Now hold the knotted sections and tie off your pony just below the knot using hair ties.
Step 5: Grab a bobby pin and insert it down the knot to prop it up.
Step 6: Lastly, take a small section of hair and wrap it around the hair tie, once you reach the end, tuck the ends under the ponytail and secure using bobby pins.
